Red Class

Welcome to Red Class.

Latest Red Class News

We are Red Class at Bampton School and we are aged between 9 and 11, with 13 year 5s and 14 year 6s.

We enjoy doing lots of fun things together and help to lead the school by being playground leaders and helping to run the daily collective worship. We love to learn from our local environment and from the wider world. We each have pen friends in France and like to go on visits far and wide. In July this year, we are going to London to sleep on HMS Belfast for three days. We are visiting the BBC studios and going to see the play 'War Horse'. We will also go to the Science Museum and visit St Paul's Cathedral. Singing and music are important to us and we all learn to play an instrument each year and sing every day in collective worship.

This year so far we have...

red exmoor challangeTaking part in interschool activities such as public speaking and sports is one of our favourite things to do. Each year, Year 6 pupils undertake the Exmoor Challenge which is a 16 mile walk across Exmoor, in teams of four. We go on class walks in the local area and learn to read a map and use a compass.

We have our own swimming pool and love to go in it every day during the summer term. In helping us to prepare for the future our parents and class teacher helped us to develop an Enterprise Club where we raised money for our own resources in the school from making and selling our own jewellery and gifts. Learning through practical tasks is a preference for us and we have several practical tasks to do every week. We always aim to work hard and help and inspire each other to always do the best.  What things do you think you would enjoy doing at Bampton School?
