School Council
The School Council is just entering its second year of operation. Children from each House in each class have been elected by their peers to represent them and put forward their ideas about how we work together in the school.
The Council has been responsible for some significant changes including:
- inviting parents to Friday worship
- identifying improvements to be made in the playground
- starting and operating a healthy tuck shop
- the way we organise and supervise lunch time play
- the use of pupils as trained play-leaders for younger pupils
- the production of a newsletter
The council meet at least once each half term with staff members from the school pastoral team. Photographs of current council representatives are on display in the computer suite.
